I’m Yusuf Amin. I’ve loved computers for as long as I can remember and have been coding since the 5th grade. Though, at that time I barely documented anything and just did whatever I loved, making small Python scripts to help me around, sometimes to automate stuff and sometimes to gain unfair advantage in a game. One example of this was my voice-activated personal assistant ‘Norbit’, this was when Microsoft killed Cortana and we did not have widespread-LLMs yet, it had a specific list of tasks it could perform and helped me a lot. (RIP Norbit)

Since around 8th grade, I developed a fascination with Machine Learning and Neural Networks, I followed some tutorials to implement basic models but figured out I didn’t know enough Maths to actually understand them and therefore left it in between. I hope to overcome this barrier soon and actually understand how the models work.

Other than coding, I am an avid reader (Mostly novels, though I try all kinds of books, and articles), writing, sometimes cubing and cardistry. While this blog will lean heavily into tech, I plan to use this space to write about other interests as well.

Currently, I am pursuing Engineering in Computer Science with a specialization in Data Science. I also am involved in the following projects:

  1. Coding The Future, as the Director of Event Managment.
  2. The Gaia Initiative, as the Chief Operating Officer.
